  • Transport
    Bicycles can be locked up next to the stairs or in front of the town hall. Worthing train station is a 10 minute walk away. The nearest bus stop is Lennox Road. There is limited parking available outside the building, as well as street parking nearby.
  • What to bring/wear
    Water bottle -> Comfortable clothes that move as you do (it is advised to bring a comfortable jumper) -> A yoga mat* -> Any necessary blocks or props -> A towel Please ensure you come with minds and phones prepared for silent reflection. It is best to practice yoga 2 hours after your last big meal. Toilets are available. * You can order a yoga starter kit from Join.Yoga, please email joinyoga@protonmail.com for more information.
  • On arrival
    You are asked to arrive 5-10 minutes before class begins. Come up the stairs and feel free to use the toilets and change rooms on the first level. The studio space is on the top floor. Please remove your shoes before stepping on the mats. Do let your instructor know that you have arrived by giving your name and notify them of any injuries or concerns before beginning. You will be asked to remove your socks before beginning the class.
  • During the class
    A yoga class is a time to cultivate peace and mindfulness. It can be vulnerable space for some people. You are encouraged to focus on your own experience in the moment and focus on the breath. There may be opportunities to voice questions or share experience at the invitation of the instructor.
  • COVID-19 Guidance
    By partaking in this class you are declaring that you are free of COVID-19 symptoms and have not recently been in contact with anyone who has contracted COVID-19. Hand sanitiser will be made available and the studio is well ventilated. Class numbers are capped to allow for sufficient distancing. Please set up your mat at least 2m from other yogis (or 1m staggered) and respect others’ need for space before, during and after the class. The instructor will seek permission before doing any physical adjustments.
  • Course Refunds
    Yoga is a life-long practice, and it can take time to feel the benefits. An exploration of yoga can mean embracing discomfort and challenge. Your registration on a course with JoinYoga represents a commitment to an 8-week journey and an openness to what that might bring to you. If you are experiencing particular challenges to your participation, you are invited to speak to the instructor, Jo, who will offer modifications and support.
